3) Can this be connected to any type of computer, or just
certain models?
Our drum kits are currently compatible with
computers running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows
2000, and Windows XP. Keep in mind your computer MUST have a sound card
installed for our product to work.
4) How do I purchase additional parts in the event that I
lose or break something?
You can purchase any of the original parts that came
with your drum kit by calling us directly at 413-532-5774 or emailing us
at
sales@ecmg.net.
5) How long should the actual assembly process take?
The time that it will take varies depending upon
several factors. The average person building this kit however, who follows
the directions step-by-step, working at a moderate pace should only spend
a couple of hours from start to finish. If you are one using this kit as
an educational tool though, it may take longer.
6) Can I leave the drum kit plugged in all the time?
Yes, although we don’t recommend that you leave the
drum kit plugged in when you are not using it due to the sensitive nature
of the circuit board components, and to possible adverse effects from
electrical line surges. We also recommend that you plug your drum kit into
a surge protector for an additional level of protection from these types
of surges.
7) Are there any other types of instruments that I can
make with this kit?
Right now we only offer the drum kit; BUT we will be
releasing additional instruments in 2003 so check out our website often
for all the latest information. You can also join our mailing list to make
sure you are kept up to date on new product releases. Click here
to join
our list.
8) This looks complicated, how can I be sure this is
something I will be able to figure out?
If you can read and understand our FAQ’s and our
detailed brochure, then we feel confident that you will be able to build
our kit. This educational electronics kit will certainly challenge you.
Every drum kit includes an EXTENSIVE instruction manual; so as long as you
can follow the directions step-by-step you should be all set.
9) What is your return policy?
If your drum kit arrives damaged we will issue you a
replacement once you ship the damaged kit back to us.
10) Do you offer technical support if I get stuck, or need
some help?
Yes, we currently offer free support via our online
chat room. Please access the
support section of our website for more
details.
11) Can I buy a kit that is already assembled?
Yes, we offer a mostly assembled kit for an
additional $50.
